Sunsets in my childhood

ORIGINAL PAINTING - 8x10” oil on canvas board - 2023 varnished This piece was inspired by the discovery of my old lisa frank stickers in a box, and I used a reference picture from my bestie @opalsartmaine (on instagram) - together this piece really just brings out so much childhood nostalgia in me. Remember when you were a kid, and sometimes the sunsets were so incredibly beautiful, you didn’t understand how something could be that colorful for just a minute, or less, and then fade into the night. When I painted this, I was remembering how those childhood sunsets felt. magical, brighter than they maybe were, and awe inspiring. really excited for this piece to find a HOME 🥹❤️‍🩹🐸
