Wildfire

ORIGINAL PAINTING - 8x10” oil on canvas board - 2023 varnished Wildfire is based on a reference from my wildland firefighter friend, Jessica. My hope with this piece was to show the rage I felt that my friend and so many others are risking their lives to clean up after people who don’t care about this planet. I wanted to show the rage and fear you must feel to stand in front of a fire that was caused by carelessness or greed, from the perspective of my friend as a firefighter. I truly hope you can all feel Jessica’s memory of standing in front of a wildfire when you look at this painting.
